updates

Carson is in preschool and loves to go to school. He is doing great and learning so many things. It is amazing how much they can remember at this age! We are practicing writing his name everyday and he is doing very well with that. I am so proud of him! He is on task at school and gets great reports from the teacher.

Reese is talking more all the time. I am trying to write down all her words, but she repeats almost everything we say.
Carson
Mommy
Daddy
Oscar
bye bye
hi
uh oh
all done
herego (here you go)
more
please
up
out
off
she talks very fast and runs very fast too. She loves to play with Carson, but does not know how to play nicely and share with him. He gets mad and tells her to leave him alone. But, he does love the attention from her. They are very loving to each other, hugs and kisses all the time. Her favorite new thing is to let him bury her in the stuffed animals. She actually sits still and lets him do it?? Who knew?

Disney world

October 4th through the 9th we went to disney world with the kids and Nan and Grandad. We flew down to Orlando on a direct flight and took the Magical Express to our hotel- the Polynesian. We had an awesome trip. It started off a little rough. The airplane ride was hard on Reese... she cried a lot because she had to sit in my lap. We did not get her a seat since she is under 2, so she had to sit with one of us. Miss Independent did not like that too much at all!
There are some of the 500 pictures I took below. These are some of my faves...

Reese was a bit unsure of the characters. She did better with the princesses since they were not as big. But, she was still cautious.
As you see, Carson was not scared at all. He got the autographs of all the characters he could possibly get. He hugged them too.

Nan & Grandad were very helpful on this trip. It is hard work bringing two small kids to a place this big. We enjoyed having them there to experience this with the kids.
Reese loves to sing and dance. We are at a restaurant in this picture and they were dancing, so Reese was too!
isn't this cute??? we really wanted the kids to do this, but even when we showed them how to wear the ears and pose for the camera, they still would not do it. But, I think it is adorable of us!
How sweet!!!

We went to the Halloween Party at the magic Kingdom. It was like 95 degrees and Carson still wanted to wear his costume. He was a sweaty mess at the end of the night. Reese wore her Minnie costume without the black shirt or tights since it was so hot. They got to go trick or treating in the park and rides with no lines. We had a ball at the parade too.

Mommy's birthday

It was my birthday. September 17. I love my birthday, and I always have. This year I was not in the mood to celebrate much. But, how could I mope around when I had these two adorable faces wanting to have a birthday celebration with me?
They made cake and everything. So we celebrated.

Carson & Reese got me this jacket for our trip to Disney World for my birthday.
My big boy made me a picture - he drew it himself and I am so proud of him!!! It makes me smile every time I look at it on the fridge.
These are the moments I truly treasure as a mom!!!! I love that my kids are there no matter what is going on in my life. They make me smile and I truly enjoy spending every moment with them. Thanks you guys for making it a very special 35th birthday for me!

Chuck E Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese with friends to continue Carson's birthday celebration! Carson was so much fun. He played with all of his friends and ate pizza. Then Chuck E Cheese came to our table and gave him a medal and this crown to make him feel special on his birthday!

this is the Handy Manny cake I made for this party. This was difficult, I had to hand draw the characters on the cake. But, I would do anything that my little prince asked me to do. So here it is....
The birthday boy and his admiring sister....
Carson showing off the crown...
we love you buddy!

Carson turns 4!

Happy 4th Birthday Carson!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe you are turning 4!!!??? What a big boy you are now. God truly blessed your Mommy and Daddy when you came into our lives. We both love you with all of our hearts.
New interests: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy). Handy Manny, Little Einstiens. We are getting ready for Walt Disney World. Carson is obsessed with the characters right now.
On your birthday I would like to tell you how much you have changed my life. I have never been a morning person. But, when I first wake up in the morning, you are always there. You usually have come to get me out of bed and tell me that you want breakfast. You talk to me all morning long and you make me smile. NOBODY has ever made me smile in the morning. I cannot imagine my life without your ongoing questions and conversations. I love to play games with you and teach you all the things you want to know. And you want to know a lot of things! I never eat a meal until I have made sure you have eaten first. I do not sleep unless you are sleeping. I always think of you before I do anything at all.
You have made me a better person. You have made me more kind to others, more patient than I knew I could be. You have made me love more than I could imagine. I love you baby boy. You will always be my baby no matter what
For your birthday, we had our family over to our house. I made you this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake. Everyone came to visit you and bring you gifts for your big day.
This is a picture of Carson and Reese before the birthday party! How sweet!

Millie came over

OOOOHHHHHH!!!!!  I cannot believe how big my girl has gotten.  She is so big and doing so many things now.  She talks in her own language all the time. She says words and phrases like "here go, uh oh, mommy, daddy, bye bye, night night, poo poo, dog, shoes, book, ball, she tries to say carson, and oscar.  Her hair goes in pigtails now.  She is very happy and social with everyone. She is a momma's girl and I love that!

Carson and Reese recently had Millie over for the day.  She has grown and changed so much since the day she came home.  She is crawling and babbling now. Carson really likes being with her a lot. Reese is in her own world.  But did play with Millie while she was over the other day.  They are super cute together.

Chicago Trip 7/17-7/19

We took our annual girls only trip to Chicago. We had a great time. It was nice to get away from everything and relax. We did a lot of sleeping, eating out, and catching up with friends.  It was fun and relaxing. The time definitely flew by, but it was good while it lasted!

Fishing

Carson likes to go to the lakes in our subdivision with Grandad and go fishing!  He catches many fish when he goes.  He like to take it off and throw it back in the water all by himself.  I am glad Grandad likes to do this with him. It is great because there is no way I could ever do this with him. I am such a girl about touching worms and fish.  But they like it and have a good time. A very good bonding experience for the both of them.  I hope he will cherish the memories he is making with Grandad!

July 4th party

We had our annual July 4th party! It rained AGAIN!  2 years in a row it has rained and been cold all day for our party.  Everyone still has a good time. The kids liked going down the big slide in the cold rain.  The food was still delicious as usual and the fireworks were spectacular!  Altogether a good day!

These little fireworks we let Carson and Daddy do the night before the party. It is a test dose to see how Reese handles it and to let Carson light some fireworks with Daddy. He is very brave and seems to enjoy it.  Reese was not a fan of the loud fireworks.  So we put her to bed for the big fireworks show and she slept right through it!
