Memorial Day 2009

We took the kids swimming at Aunt Missy's house today.  Carson has not been swimming since last year, and is a little scared of the water.  Reese is not scared of anything, but does not like being cold.
It did not start off too well.  Carson was scared to get in the water.  He stood on the steps and watched for a long time.  Then Mommy and Daddy helped him along.  We showed him how he liked jumping in from the side of the pool.  He loved it!
Reese was having so much fun in the "car" float.  She enjoyed the water.  Not scared at all.
keep jumping...
how sweet....

Reese in her car float... so big!

Swinging

The kids love to swing!  If I could just push them on the swing for hours- they would love that! I thought I would take pictures of their favorite activity to remember this time by. Here is Reese in her bucket swing.

Carson is getting big enough to swing on a big boy swing...

As I said, they love it. I am glad they like being outside. We spend a lot of our time out there.
This is a normal day at our house.
Carson and Reese......
I love you both more than life itself. You two are my everything.  I love spending time with you.  You make me smile more than I have ever smiled before.  I hope one day you will know just how special you are.
Love you,
Mommy

Millie

We went to see our new cousin Amelia today!!! She is so cute. Carson tells me she is one of the prettiest girls in the whole world.   If I ask who are the prettiest girls in the whole world he always says Mommy and Reese.  But now he adds Amelia to the list.  And I must say he is right.  He really likes her.  Reese thought she was pretty cool too.  She liked her toys the most.  Aunt Sandy got Reese some shoes that squeak when she takes a step. She got them for her in China.  Reese absolutely loves them! She walks a lot when she has them on.  Then she just stomps her feet at times to hear them squeak.  How fun!

Here is Amelia.... she is so sweet.  Her cousins are so excited about her!  We love you Millie, welcome home!

Preschool

Carson has been in 3 year old preschool at Saint Michael this year. He is doing great!  We went to church to watch him perform in a performance.  They sang and danced to several songs. Carson did a good job and sang many of the songs.

He has grown up so much this year. It has been amazing watching him.  He knows all of his letters both upper and lower case. He knows his numbers and can count to 50.  He is starting to write his name and recognizes his own name on paper. He can spell many words out loud.  He has been bringing home projects he made at school.  I am glad we decided to let him go ahead and go to school this year.

my adorable kids

Sometimes I have to post about how adorable my kids are.  How did I get so lucky to have 2 precious babies?  I am so lucky.  I thank their daddy for giving me the greatest gifts he could ever give me.   There are people in this world who try forever and are never able to have children. Look at me, I have 2!!! I feel blessed.  On top of that they are so sweet. Carson is getting so big, and he is very smart and honest.  He is always asking me questions that I did not even know a 3 year old would ever know to ask.  He is making me see things in a different light. From a new perspective.  From his innocent eyes, the world looks so different!

Then if God had not given me enough with Carson.... next I get the most beautiful girl in the world.   Reese is everything I ever wanted.  I still cannot believe she is my baby girl. She is precious. She is very happy and independent.   She loves her mommy.  She chases me around and throws her arms up for me to hold her all day long.  It wears me out at times, but I truly love it.  I would not give it up for anything in the world.  Even when she is crying because I want to take her picture.  Like here....

and then here...

She is a sweetie!

Daddy's Birthday

Happy Birthday Daddy!

we celebrated Daddy's Birthday with yellow cake and chocolate icing. Carson had to help Daddy blow out the candles- too many for Daddy to do alone!  Reese is sneaking licks of chocolate icing!  Loves the icing just like Carson.
she definitely likes Daddy's birthday cake!!!
almost as much as Carson enjoys it...
look at those 2 adorable faces..... twins!
Daddy needed lots of help opening his presents from both kiddos.
you cannot get enough help on your Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday Daddy.  We hope you enjoyed getting to eat dinner and cake with the family on your special day.  The kids were elated to see you come home to celebrate with us.  We were afraid we might have to eat cake without you.  We love you bunches!

Parade time

Pegasus Parade, Thursday, April 30th 2009
Today we went to the parade.  Carson loved the huge inflatables.  Reese loved waving to everyone.  We had a great time.  Mommy was so glad she was able to take you to the parade and enjoy it together.

Carson & Reese,
Mommy really enjoyed our day together.  We had so much fun. I am glad to be able to share these experiences with both of you.  Seeing the joy in your face makes me smile.  I love when you would laugh at the floats and cover your ears when the band was too loud.  These are the best days of my life.  I am so blessed to have you as my sweet children.  I love you so much.  I hope we have many more parades together.
Love, Mommy
