Sandy's 40th B-day

Happy 40th Birthday Sandy! We had a surprise birthday party for Sandy. She hated being surprised. But it was nice to get together and celebrate. Sandy has been through so much in her lifetime. I think it needs to be celebrated that she has finally found some happiness.

Mother's Day

This year we celebrated Mother's Day at the brunch at Churchill Downs. We went with Rob's parents and his sister Missy and her family. We had a great time. It was a very nice day at the track. We did not win money, but had so much fun! I truly love being a Mom and taking the time to spend with my kiddos is amazing. I often get caught up in the hustle an bustle of life and forget how important the little things are.
Happy Mother's day to all the moms.
Special thanks to my own Mom who taught me everything about being the Mom I am today. I am not sure how she did it with four kids so close in age!!

Daddy's Birthday

Daddy's birthday is May 1 and Grandad's birthday is on May 2. Daddy works every year on his birthday since it is always during derby week. So, we try to celebrate it when we can for the sake of the kids. This year we celebrated on Sunday, which was Grandad's Birthday. So we celebrated both!!!!

Happy Birthday Grandad!

Oaks Day

This year I got to go to the Kentucky Oaks with some friends. Rob works every year for all of the Derby festivities, so we never get to enjoy them together. But, I was glad to go to the track with friends this year. We ate breakfast and then headed to the track. They have a parade on the track to honor Breast Cancer Survivors and the theme is a pink out. Lots of pink at the track for this. Had a great time, got huge blisters on my feet and I missed by hubby. But, all in all a great day!

Pegasus Parade

We went to the pegasus parade this year to celebrate Derby. We took Grandma with us and had a good time. We waited a long time for it to start and then we watched all the floats and bands marching bands. The kids liked the clowns from a distance, but were scared when they got close. I think the kids wanted to eat snacks more than watch the parade. They must have eaten the whole time!!!!

tee ball

Carson is playing tee ball at Jeffersontown Youth Sports this year. He is on the Cubs and Daddy is coaching. Carson really loves to play tee ball. He has a great time and plays so good! WE are very proud of him. He hits the ball off the tee great. He is becoming aggressive in the field. He always watches the ball being hit and tries to get it in the field. Here are some pictures from this season.
